Policies

Code of conduct

The SZPAG handbook sets out expectations for behaviour, attendance and school life. [Link the handbook and code of conduct PDFs in English and Arabic.]

Staying in touch

Communication

  • We keep families informed through regular emails, monthly newsletters and phone calls.
  • Early Years and Elementary use Seesaw to share classwork, announcements and a window into daily learning.
  • Secondary uses Schoology for assignments, grades and updates, and ePraise to recognise students’ achievements.
  • School policies are available through your Seesaw or Schoology login.

Dress code

Uniform

Students wear the official SZPAG uniform for their grade every day, without modifications, and bring a change of clothes and shoes for PE. Uniforms are sold online and at the Globe uniform shop on the SZPAG campus (02 619 5585). [Link the uniform policy.]

Getting to school

School transport

Buses are operated by Emirates Transport on Abu Dhabi Island, Monday to Friday. Routes are limited to 60 minutes from first stop to school, in line with Department of Transport rules.

Every bus has CCTV and a licensed bus supervisor. The annual bus fee is AED 5,000; fees are confirmed each May–June and a seat is secured once payment is complete.

For bus enquiries call +971 2 619 5555. [Link the bus handbook and ADEK transport safety guidelines.]

Healthy choices

School catering

We encourage healthy choices in line with ADAFSA guidance. Every classroom has a water cooler — please send a refillable bottle each day.

A grab-and-go canteen with hot and cold options serves Grades 1–12.

Pre-K to KG2: bring a healthy snack. Grades 1–3: bring a snack or order online for delivery to the classroom at break. Grades 4–12: bring a snack or buy from the canteen.

Well-being

Health & safety

The safety and well-being of every student comes first.

Pastoral care

Every student has a homeroom teacher who sees them daily and supports their academic, social and emotional development.

Inclusion team

Learning support teachers and assistants, counsellors and nurses work together to support students who benefit from extra help.

Tolerance and respect

Everyone is treated with respect, and all students commit to the Zayed Tolerance Pledge.

Safety and security

Emergency procedures are displayed around the school and practised in regular drills. [Link the Occupational Safety and Health policy.]

Child protection

Every child has the right to be safe. All staff share a duty of care and are trained to recognise and report concerns.
